Crosby and Ovechkin Battling For 2025 NHL All-Star Vote Supremacy
The 2025 NHL All-Star Voting has begun and sitting pretty with over 200,000 votes is Sidney Crosby the Captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Crosby is the first player in the league to earn over 200,000 and his rival Alex Ovechkin, the captain of the Capitals, has slipped down to fourth place in the voting with only 168,000 votes, which was surprising to many.
Both Cosby and Ovechkin are fierce competitors on the ice and both teams are leading the charge to the Stanley Cup championship. Both teams are fighting hard to make it to the championship and seeing the two battle it out in the All-Star voting is just as fun as if they were actually on the ice.
Ovechkin was expected to be higher up in the voting totals since he is a master on the ice. He is considered one of the best goal-scorers in his generation. This year alone he has scored ten goals in just twenty five games. Despite being in fourth place there is still over five weeks left for fans to vote on their favorite, so Ovechkin can still get back in the top three if not take the top spot from Crosby who is in first place.
Discover is sponsoring the 2025 NHL All-Star Game and the Ultimate Fantasy Draft will be featured this year.
