Betting Odds – 2025 Final Four Edition!

After a few weeks of some of the most surprising and intense March Madness’s EVER, the NCAA Men’s tournament is now rolling into April – and this time the field has shrunk from 68 teams – to you guessed it, the FINAL FOUR.

There are familiar faces with Kentucky and Connecticut once again punching their Final 4 tickets, but relative show-stealers Virginia Commonwealth and Butler have also ridden their Cinderella status all the way through to earn the rights of the last ones standing thus far in the NCAA tourney.

VCU has stunned the critics and has been backed up by a talented squad of 3-point demons throughout the tournament this year, absolutely crushing their opponents at will and dismantling #1 ranked Kansas in the Elite 8 earlier last week.  Their #11 seeding has not stopped nor intimidated this group and they look to get to their first national championship game ever when they face off against Butler this Saturday.

As fate would have it – and some say VCU wants it that way – the tiny team from Virginia Commonwealth will be 2.5 point underdogs when they play the Bulldogs of Butler. Betting odds also have Butler’s moneyline at -145, with many analysts looking at Butler’s very deep team and their stingy defense against the 3-pointer.

On the other token, the battle of the “real” titans pits two very veteran teams in UConn and Kentucky, both of which have been to the Final 4 eighteen times between them!  As Jim Calhoun prepares his Huskies for battle against John Calipari of the Wildcats, it’s no secret that the keys to winning this game lie within the head coaches, and not just the kids running their plays.

UConn and Kentucky have played some close and very gritty games, and both teams are led by young points guards in Kemba Walker for Uconn and Brandon Jackson for Kentucky.  Both teams match up near even, with Kentucky getting a slight edge in the big man department, making the game that much more intriguing.

The sportsbooks have this one just as tight as the Butler-VCU game that was aforementioned above, with Kentucky being placed as a 2.5 point favorite over the Big East champion UConn.

India came another step closer to bringing home the World Cup of Cricket with a scrappy win over a very tough Pakistan team last night.  The match was filled with physicality and skill, and in the end a nation of over a billion people celebrated as their Indian national team looked to get back into the World Cup final and take home the title for the first time in 28 years.

India’s idol Sachin Tendulkar added another top-notch performance to his long-growing resume, as he dropped a score of 85 during the match against one of the team’s most hated rivals.  He and his teammates bowled over Pakistan’s batsmen, winning by 29 runs and exposing a beleaguered Paki derfense in Mohali Tuesday night.

The championship game itself will be held on Saturday, with the hopes of a nation riding om their hero Tendulkar.  Looking to bolster his legend even more with an even better performance than the one he put on in the semi-final, Sachin Tendulkar is hoping to lead his team to their first World Cup title in nearly 3 decades.

Currently, his team is the odds on favorite to take down the championship against Sri Lanka, with popular betting websites like Bodog giving India the title of favorite at -185 – as opposed to underdog Sri Lanka getting +150 as of today.

2025 NCAA Tournament Report – March 20, 2025.

The 2025 NCAA Mens Basketball tournament has lived up to the hype this year, with a lot of people’s brackets already being crushed by surprise wins by Richmond and Butler (who coincidentally almost stole away the title from Duke in the 2025 championship game) that have landed them in the Sweet 16!

And did anyone think Louisville would be sent home by a 13 seed?!  Well, unfortunately it happened folks – and for those of you who had Pitt making it all the way to the final 4, then I sincerely apologize for your dreams being certifiably crushed by the 2 aforementioned teams above.

In what’s been an already-amazing week of March Madness, there will be plenty of solid matchups to watch in today’s games, as #1 Duke looks to make it to yet another Sweet 16 under Coach K when they battle Michigan.

Duke looked fresh and upbeat in their opening round game, especially after getting starter Kyrie Irving cleared to play after being injured most of the season with a toe ailment.  He led all scorers with 14 points and signs point to him doing even more damage against the lagging defense of Michigan.  Expect them to crush all the point spreads and lines on this game, EASILY.

In another interesting game that will also be played out of the same West Region as the Duke-UM game, Texas and Arizona will bring a unique clash of guard play versus big man play.

The Wildcats of U of A will be looking to rely heavily on forward Derrick Williams, who has averaged 19 points and almost 9 rebounds a game this year.  Texas guard Jordan Hamilton will have his hands full trying to guard the Pac 10 player of the year in Williams, as well as a balanced Arizona offense that brings a lot of punch of quickness.

Texas is looking to make a statement in this year’s tournament by showing Arizona that they have a few tricks up their sleeves, despite ALMOST losing to #13 Oakland on Thursday afternoon.  The 28-7 Longhorns are a near even match in terms of talent, but if you’re doing any sports betting online I see the Wildcats running away with this game by at least 5 points!
